About Sea Harvest Seafood
Sea Harvest Seafood is owned and operated by Chris and Maggie Lee Richards. Chris has been in the seafood business for over 24 years. You might say that it is in his blood. He started with his father in 1998 selling fresh fish, shellfish and lobster across North America with the company Fortune Seas Inc. Chris’s father (Hughie Richards) was one of the largest volume exporters of fresh seafood from Canada when Sea Harvest Seafood Ltd. was originally founded in the early 1980’s.
Chris decided to resurrect his father’s company in 2019, and Sea Harvest Seafood (2019) Ltd. was founded. Chris has never left the business, developing contacts, clients and suppliers every step of the way. Today he is proud to call many of them friends. He knows that creating good contacts and developing relationships is the foundation of any good business.

Maggie has been involved in the seafood industry for the past 14 years. She has worked with her husband Chris since 2005, taking on roles in administration, bookkeeping, logistics and documentation, as well as liaising with various government departments. She is the backbone of Sea Harvest Seafood and is looking forward to expanding her contacts in the seafood industry.
Today, Sea Harvest Seafood has contacts and import-export seafood clients in countries around the world, including Canada, the United States, Iceland, Norway, France, Ukraine, Georgia, Spain, India, Israel, and China. In the bait side of the business, they are one of the largest in Atlantic Canada.
